Why join the marine corps at 17?

i am hopefully gonna get into the delayed entry program this summer. i was just wondering what the benefits are of joining at 17 as opposed to 18.(besides being one of the youngest guys in the group) Are there any monetary benefits, advanced rank, better chance of getting your MOS,or getting stationed where you wanna be ?
