The watchmen was more gory than 300?

The watchmen had a weak storyline that went on forever w/ little gratification. 300 was more gory and actually stimulated the mind. The story actually went somewhere and had a point. 300 also looks like it took millions of dollars to make whereas Watchmen felt really cheap. The fight scenes were fewer in comparison to 300 and seemed really random as well. All they did was kick each other in the chest and only like 2 things were kind of graphic, including the scene (which I lost interest in after they tried to build tension the first time they were about to do it but didn't).
