What is the best form of doentation for an informational book?

I am currently editing a book written for business managers about training young employees. What is the best way to reference all of the research included? I'm very familiar with MLA and APA from academic writing, but I'm not sure either of those styles is appropriate here. I've thought about using end notes. Any suggestions?
