I have a cough that won't go away?

I have had a cough for almost two weeks now. It started off with me coughing up yellow to a Lightish tan mucus and in the morning I would throw up what mucus I had swallowed over night. I quit smoking because it was just making it worse. Whenever i get hot it gets worse. I have lost my apetite. I am fat so that says alot. As of today I have coughed up little to no mucus and am feeling good but when I do cough which is seldom it still sounds horrible. It's a deep chest cough not a throaty one. I may or may not have inhaled bearing dust before it started . Also I'm 19 so I doubt it's chronic bronchitis or lung cancer considering I've smoked for a little over a year, although Im done for good.
