Do not stress. You are half way there. You speak the language. Your parents are British, I presume. They are not totally alien to you. You are young. Do not try too hard. You will fit in fine. Who says you will be rubbing shoulders with chavs? People avoid them. You will meet some nice young people, I am sure. Good luck.
